Ogun State Government has warned developers against erecting illegal structures within the 70 meters right of way on the Abeokuta-Ibadan and the Abeokuta-Sagamu interchange expressways.

Senior special assistant to the governor on Physical Planning Compliance and Enforcement, Babatunde Olugbewesa, issued the warning, during an enforcement exercise on the right of way on the expressways.

He condemned the impunity with which fences, buildings, and factories were being erected on both sides of the right of way of the expressways.

The special assistant said it was worrisome that even developers who have proper documents are not following the fencing regulations on the expressways.

During the enforcement exercise, perimeter fences of those who violated the right of way were removed at the Asese axis of the expressway.
