Seven Die, Four Injured In Separate Road Crashes in Kwara and Oyo States

Three persons have been burnt to death in multiple auto crashes in Kwara state

The accident which occurred on Monday, at Oolu/Okoolo, involved a trailer, a petrol tanker, a truck, three cars, and a motorcycle.

The state sector commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Stephen Dawlung confirmed the incident.

He said that a truck conveying animal feeds to Ibadan, wrongfully overtook another vehicle, and crashed into an oncoming trailer conveying brewery products.

A petrol tanker following the trailer crashed into the two vehicles, resulting in a defining explosion and fire that engulfed three other cars and a motorcycle.

Also, seven persons, including three primary school pupils have been crushed to death in a ghastly auto crash in Osogbo, the Osun state capital.

Four others were injured in the Tuesday morning accident at the Lameco axis of the city

The accident was caused by a commercial bus marked RBC 16 ZN, whose tire burst.

In the process, the bus, whose driver was a top speed, left its lane, and crashed into a tricycle in the opposite direction, crushing all its occupants, including the school pupils to death, beyond recognition.

Governor Ademola Adeleke has condoled the families of those killed in the accident.
