Ogun Anchor Borrower Scheme Empowers 40,000 Agriculture Entrepreneurs

Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun state has said that the anchor borrower scheme empowers 40.000 agriculture-entrepreneurs in the state.

The Governor stated this on Saturday during the thirty seventh Lisabi day celebration in Abeokuta.

Deputy Governor Noimot Salako-Oyedele who represented him, said that Ogun state remains a major global producer if cassava, and a major player in poultry farming, fish production and animal husbandry.

The governor indicated the readiness of his administration to back young farmers and investors in land clearing, preparation and mechanization of Agric production.

Abiodun highlighted the pivotal role of agriculture in the state roadmap, contributing to the food security, creation of new jobs and industrialization of the state.

The Paramount Ruler of Egbaland, Oba Aremu Gbadebo, applauded Governor Abiodun for the new Adire market at Asero, Abeokuta.

The monarch announced plans to empower Egba indigenes through Lisabi palliatives and educational support for students.

The governor underscored the government’s interest in boosting the agricultural value chain, encouraging private sector investment for sustained industrialisation, job creation, and food security.

While urging elders to instill core values in the youth, he emphasized the importance of hard work, perseverance, and diligence.
