Ninety Percent Of Kidnappers In Ogun Are Non Indigene, Says So-Safe Commander

Ogun State So-Safe corps has revealed that ninety percent of most members of the kidnap gangs operating in Ogun State, are non indigenes.

The corps’ commander, Soji Ganzallo, said nine out of every ten of the kidnappers are from outside the state.

Ganzallo, speaking on a RockCity FM programme “daybreak show”, however, said informants of the kidnappers are indigenes of the state.

According to him, investigations had shown that locals provide vital information on likely targets to the kidnappers, who then attacked their victims.

He expressed concern that indigenes of the state are playing such dubious roles to assist kidnappers to heighten insecurity in the state.

The so safe corps commander also expressed concern over the influx of illicit light arms from Benin republic into Nigeria, through the state’s border communities.
