Four Persons Have Lost Their Lives in Recent Auto Crash at Kara Market, Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, Ogun State

Four Persons Have Lost Their Lives in Recent Auto Crash at Kara Market, Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, Ogun State

Four persons have lost their lives in a fresh auto crash at Kara market axis of Lagos-Ibadan expressway in Ogun State.

Three others sustained injuries in the accident, which occurred in the early hours of Monday.

The accident involved a luxury bus marked ACA533ZP and an unmarked vehicle.

The State Sector Commander, Anthony Uga, blamed the accident on the excessive speed by drivers, resulting into the loss of control of the vehicles.

Uga, in a statement by the command’s spokesperson, Chief Route Commander Florence Okpe, urged motorists in the state, to always apply common sense speed limit, especially at night when visibility was poor.

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) sector commander sympathized with the family of the accident victims, and asked them to contact the Mowe unit of the corps for more information on the accident.

She said the truck did not stop after the bus rammed into it while negotiating a bend around the “Kara’’ axis on the expressway. Okpe also said that 21 people, 13 men and eight women, were involved in the accident.

The bodies of the deceased were deposited at a morgue in Sagamu, Ogun State, while the injured were taken to a nearby hospital, she said.
