Former President  Buhari Moves To London To Rest, After Visitors Besiege His Daura Home

Former President Muhammadu Buharii is now taking a rest in London, after leaving office.

He met with President Tinubu last Monday in the British capital.

Buhari had told Nigerians, days before he left office last May 29, that he would retire to his home in Daura, far away from Abuja, so as not to distract his successor, Bola Tinubu.

From the eagles square,Abuja, Buhari had moved to his Daura home, minutes after handing over to Tinubu.

His media aide on Thursday in a tweet explained that Buhari left for to London to escape from the influx of people thronging his Daura home every day.

According to Sheu, the crowd of visitors deprived him of rest and he decided to move to London, adding that the former president wants to stay out of spotlight to enable the new president focused on governance.

He, however, dismissed the viral news stories that Buhari during his meeting with Tinubu on London pleaded with him not to investigate his aides and members of cabinet.

Sheu dismissing the story as fake, said only Buhari and Tinubu were at the meeting, adding that no other person was around to record their conversation.
