Female Officer Commits Suicide In Ikeja Airforce Base

A female officer of the Nigerian Airforce has committed suicide in her apartment at the 651 base service group, Ikeja, Lagos State.

She was found hung hanging in her room on Saturday afternoon.

Military sources told Zagazola, a counter-insurgency publication said the late officer was a master warrant officer.

“Master Warrant Officer George a female Personnel of the Nigerian Air Force serving at 651 Base Services Group Resident at Block T5 Flat 8 in Sam Ethnan Air Force Base Ikeja reported to have committed suicide inside her room at about 1400hrs on 10 Jun 23. Efforts are ongoing by 3 Air Provost to evacuate her to 661NAFH, while further investigation will continue,” according to a military signal sighted on the incident.

Sources said the officer was found unresponsive at her residence in Sam Ethnan Airforce base, Ikeja.

Her body was later evacuated to the Nigerian Airforce Hospital.
