Pastor Adeboye Says God Has Not Spoken to Him About 2023 Polls

The general overseer of the redeemed christian church of God, Pastor Adeboye says he is not supporting any candidate for the 2023 presidential poll.

The cleric even said that he does not know if the polls would take place, because God had not spoken to him on the poll.

According to him, his assignment with god has nothing to do with politics, adding that his call from god is to be a pastor and not a prophet, but that God once in a while talk to him.

The general overseer recalled that God told him about the 2019 poll in June 2018.

He believes that God could still talk to him about it, since the poll is more than one year away.

Adeboye spoke on the issue at the church’s monthly thanksgiving service held on Sunday, while making clarification on the setup of RCGG political directorate for members who want to contest in the 2023 polls.

The cleric said he has never told any member of the church the candidate to vote for, because every political party is heavily represented in the church.

Pastor Adeboye, however, said he always encourage members to participate in politics, and vote for candidates of their choice during polls.

Adeboye also expressed concern over the mindless killings in Kaduna state, Nigeria’s riding debt profile, and crude oil theft.

According to Adeboye, he is more concern about praying for Nigeria to overwhelm these challenges, than the 2023 polls.
