Rivers State government was the first state to announce the N100,000 Christmas bonus for civil servants on its payroll.

He said, I have decided to take a good step, it is hard but we must do it. The workers of this state must live like others in this Christmas period. In this season you need to bless your neighbor, you need to be a blessing to your home.

And as a leader of the state, it is necessary to be a blessing in the homes of everyone in this state. I cannot say that I’m doing this because it is not my personal money, it is the money of the state that I am using, which I was elected to manage.

And I have resolved with the caucus and principal officers of government, since I came in, that workers in Ebonyi State should have something to celebrate.

I’m going to have meeting with local government chairmen, and every worker in this state must get N100,000 as Christmas gift, including a bag of rice.
