A suspected drug trafficker, Uju Dominic, has been arrested by operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), while ingesting substance suspected to be cocaine in Lagos

He was arrested in a hotel room at Okota, with a suspected drug lord, Charles Uwagbale, who was assisting him to ingest 93 pellets of the drug, preparatory for a trip to Italy.

NDLEA spokesman, Femi Babfemi, on Sunday said the suspected drug lord recruited the suspect in Italy, and brought him to Nigeria to traffic the drug weighing 1,427 kilogrammes, back to Italy

According to Babafemi, the suspect arrived Nigeria and lodged in a hotel in Okota, where the suspected drug lord met him last Friday night to assist him in ingesting the drug.

The NDLEA operatives invaded the hotel room while the suspect was ingesting the substance, and both of them were arrested.

Babafemi said the suspect was scheduled to have returned to Italy on Saturday with the ingested drug.
