Dangote Cement Staff Arrested For Stealing Truck Parts

Two staff of the Dangote Cement Plant at Ibeshe in Ogun state have been arrested for stealing parts of a truck assigned to them.

Stolen from the truck are six tires, ten rims, a set of springs, two headlamps, one bumper, two side mirrors, and a Kickstarter, all valued at more than N1.8 million.

The spokesperson of the state police command, Abimbola Oyeyemi named the suspects as Ismaila Abubakar and Mohammed Yakubu.

She said they were reported by the security department of the Dangote Plant to the Imasayi police station last December 6.

The truck from which they allegedly stole the parts is marked NSR 786 ZX.

The complainant itemized the vehicle parts that were vandalized as follows: six tires, 10 rims, one set of springs, two headlamps, one bumper, two side mirrors, and one kick starter valued at one million eight hundred and fifty thousand seven hundred.

Following the complaints, the perpetrators have been arrested for possession of the stolen items and have been marked as exhibits.

A preliminary investigation has commenced and a thorough investigation will be conducted to ensure the complainant gets the desired justice.
