Body of a Missing 12-Year-Old Boy Found Five Days after Missing in Abeokuta Buried

The 12-year-old boy who was declared missing and whose body was found five days later in Abeokuta has been buried.

The decomposed body of the boy was buried by his parents on Tuesday evening at the Ijemo axis of Abeokuta.

The body, which was in an advanced state of decay after it was evacuated by police and health officials, was first taken to the state hospital in Ijaye, Abeokuta, where it was rejected.

The tragic incident has caused panic in the Olasunkanmi and Kotogbo communities and their environs, considering the state of the decomposed body of the boy suspected to be a victim of ritualists.

Residents in the areas now retire to their various homes as early as 7 a.m., while businesses are now closing early.

It was suspected that those who killed the boy poured some substances on his body to avoid being detected by his parents.

A Rockcity FM correspondent, Sina Alabi, reported that there were signs of violence on the body of the boy.

When the body was being evacuated on Tuesday, some parts of his body, including intestines, appeared to have disappeared or been harvested by suspected ritualists.

Also, his neck and hand detached from the body, while his eyes could not be found when it was being evacuated.

Meanwhile, police had taken over the case to unravel the circumstances behind the death. He was working at a barber’s shop before he disappeared last Thursday morning.
