ASUU Accuses VCs of Indiscriminate Recruitment into the University System

Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has accused vice chancellors of federal universities of indiscriminate recruitment of staff into the university system.

In the process, the union says the vice chancellors had turned recruitment into federal universities into a constituency project.

ASUU President, Prof. Emmanuel Osodeke, making the allegation on Tuesday, during the hero’s day celebration at the University of Uyo, said there was the need to stop the trend, to inject sanity to the system.
