Alake Asks Families in Egbaland to Donate Artifacts to the New Egba Museum

The paramount ruler of Egbaland, Oba Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo, has urged every family in Egbaland, to donate artifacts of their forbearers, to the new Egba Museum in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital.

The monarch said the name of the families who donate the artifact would be encrypted on the donated items in the museum.

The paramount ruler, speaking this during the launching and commissioning of the Egba museum on Tuesday, in his Ake Palace, as part of activities marking his eightieth birthday anniversary celebration.

Governor Dapo Abiodun, in a broadcast to mark the 80th birthday of the royal father, said Oba Gbadebo has contributed immensely to the successes recorded by his administration since its inception in 2019.

The Alake said that Egbas has a great history with many icons who had sacrificed themselves for the Egbaland.

He explained that the museum was established to preserve the history of the Egbaland for a better tomorrow.

The monarch also asked Egbas to visit the museum to know their past, shed more light on the present situation on Egbaland, adding that the visit would also enlighten them on how to build a better Egbaland.
