Abiodun Says Adedayo Must Prove His Allegation of Councils’ Fund Diversion

Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State, says he is prepared to defend himself against the allegation made against him, by the impeached chairman of the Ijebu East Local Government, Wale Adedayo.

He also said the former Council Chairman would be made to prove the false allegation that he diverted the statutory allocations of the state’s local governments.

The Governor spoke on the allegation, on Tuesday while receiving the leaders of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in the Ijebu East Local Government Area, at the Governor’s Office, Oke Mosan, Abeokuta.

Abiodun said people would continue to malign the character of the people, until they are made to bear the consequences of their utterances.

He accused Adedayo of lying against him as a Governor, and as Dapo Abiodun, as well as trying to incite the public against his administration.

Adedayo, according to the Governor, would be made to prove his false allegations, one after the other.

The Governor warned those attempting to destabilize the continued peace that Ogun State was enjoying, that they would have sleepless night.

According to the Governor, Ogun State would move forward with or without them, because he was appointed by God as the Governor of the State.

He told the APC leaders of the need to ensure that members abide by the party’s constitution, and be ready to defend their utterances.

The APC Chairman of the Ijebu East Local Government Area, Chief Bayo Balogun indicated the support of people in the area for his administration

He accused Adedayo of running the Local Government during his tenure, with no regard for the party leaders in the area.
