Abiodun Approves Appointment of Kehinde Onasanya as New Ogun Head of Service

Governor Dapo Abiodun has appointed Mr. Kehinde Onasanya as the new Head of Service of the Ogun State Civil Service.

Onasanya takes over from Kolawole Fagboun, who has retired after a meritorious service.

Secretary to the State Government, Tokunbo Talabi, announced the appointment in a statement issued on Monday night.

Until his new appointment, Onasanya was the permanent secretary in the Bureau of Political Affairs and Administration.

He joined the Ogun state civil service in 1993 as an information officer on salary grade level eight, and rose through the rank to a director on salary grade level 17.

Onasanya is a thoroughbred professional, media manager of repute and an astute administrator.

He is a member of many professional bodies, including Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ) and Associate Member of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations.

Since his appointment as permanent secretary, he has worked in many agencies, including the Ministry of Special Duties and Inter-Governmental Affairs and Bureau of Political Affairs and Administration.

He is a recipient of the prestigious Ogun state award in May 2006 and the first runner up in the 2007 edition.

He was also the best reporter of the (House of Assembly Catergory), 1999, courtesy of the Nigerian Union of Journalists, Ogun State Council.

He is happily married with children.
