Organized Labour Rejects Tinubu’s  Removal Of Petrol Subsidy

The organized Labour reportedly rejects president Tinubu’s ending of the petrol subsidy regime in the country.

Tinubu in his maiden speech, after his inauguration on Monday, had said the existing subsidy on petrol, was no longer sustainable, and has ended.

The president said there was no provision in the 2023 budget, for continued funding of the subsidy on petrol, beyond this month.

Reacting, the president of Nigeria labour congress (NLC)

Joe Ajaero, said the president’s pronouncement on the petrol subsidy was not well thought out.

Ajaero warned that Nigerians would speak with one voice over the pronouncement at the appropriate time.
