President, Governors, Other Political Office Holders To Enjoy Massive Pay-rise
The president, state governors, their deputies and other political office holders are to enjoy a massive pay-rise in the new re-numeration package introduced by the revenue mobilization and fiscal commission (RMAFC)
This followed the upward review of their re-numeration of elected and appointed public officers by 114 percent
Also, the commission introduced three new special allowances for judges
The commissioner representing Niger state in the agency made this known while submitting the report to governor Sani Bello at the government house in Minna
The three new special allowances for judges include professional development allowance that would enable them to employ two judicial officers to assist them in conducting research.

The other allowances are longtime service allowance and restricted lifestyle allowances
The RMAFC commissioner told the governor that the salaries/re-numeration templates are being transmitted to the state governments for domestication
Governor Bello commended the commission for a job well done,
Directed the state attorney-general and commissioner for justice to immediately forward the report to the state house of assembly for legislative action.
