Others in his entourage were Governor Dapo Abiodun, Olusegun Osoba, and Gbenga Daniel.

Details of the visit were not known but political watchers believe that Tinubu may be seeking the support of the elder statesman for his 2023 presidential bid.

Tinubu last visited Obasanjo in 2015, while accompanying President Buhari on the eve of the 2015 polls.

Tinubu also visited Obasanjo during his seventy-eight birthday in 2015.

Tinubu, after the meeting, moved to the MKO Abiola International Stadium, Kuto, Abeokuta, to grace the 2022 artisan day.

He told the mammoth crowd that it was not yet time for the 2023 polls campaign but prayed for them.
