The Judiciary Is the Last Hope of The Common Man, Says Dapo Abiodun

Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun state has said that the judiciary is the last hope of the common man.

According to him, judiciary exists for the purpose of establishing law, order, truth and facilitating equal access to justice.

The Governor stated this while swearing into office three new judges, at the June 12 Cultural Centre, Kuto, Abeokuta, on Tuesday.

The new judges are Martins Akinyemi for the State High Court; Bolanle Awoyemi and Adeniji Lawal for the State Customary Court of Appeal.

He urged the new judges to resist temptations, uphold honesty and truth in the dispensation of justice.

Abiodun also asked them to prioritize justice, uphold people’s customs and ensure equity, and fairness in the discharge of their duties.

In attendance were Deputy Governor Noimot Oyedele-Salako; the State Chief Judge, Justice Mosunmola Dipeolu; the Deputy Chief of Staff to the Governor, Toyin Taiwo and other government officials.
