So-Safe Corps Arrests Suspected Member of Eiye Confraternity in Abeokuta

Operatives of Ogun State Security Outfit, So-Safe Corps have arrested a suspected member of Eiye Confraternity in Abeokuta, the Ogun state capital.

The suspect, Kabiru Adedotun, was picked up by the tactical squad of the Corp at the Totoro axis of the city during a routine patrol.

The Corps Commander, Soji Ganzallo, in a statement by the corps spokesman, Assistant Commander Moruf Yusuf, said following intelligence, the tactical squad arrested him.

He said the squad later searched his room in a house at Totoro and recovered a cut-to-size pistol.

Commander Ganzallo said the suspect allegedly confessed to being involved in several criminal activities in the state and revealed the names of some members of his gang.

He was promptly arrested and a cut-to-size pistol was recovered from him in his room at Totoro, Abeokuta, in the Abeokuta North Local Government Area of Ogun

At the time of the arrest, the suspect confessed to have involved in some criminal activities in the state.

During a preliminary investigation of the act, the suspected cultist mentioned some names who were members of his gang.

He said the suspect had been transferred to the police monitoring unit at Oke Mosan, Abeokuta, for transfer to the police command headquarters at Eleweran, Abeokuta for further investigation and likely prosecution.
