Ondo Deputy Governor Says He Chatted With Akeredolu, And Not Incapacitated

Ondo state deputy governor, Lucky Ayedatiwa says he has spoken to governor Rotimi Akeredolu, and he was in high spirit

Akeredolu, who had been on medical vacation, had over the last weekend, wrote the state house of assembly, that he would be extending the vacation on the advice of his medical doctors.

The Deputy Governor said he spoke with Akeredolu on Sunday, and he promised to return to Nigeria as soon as his doctors certified him medically fit.

According to him, the governor appreciated him, members of the state executive council, and people of the state for their support and prayers.

Ayedatiwa also dismissed reports on the negative reports on the governor, saying they were being sponsored by desparate politicians to cause disunity in the ondo APC.

The deputy governor assured that the orchestrated falsehood being peddled would not derail the focus of the Akeredolu administration.

MEANWHILE, the Acting Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has stated that some faceless individuals, whom he described as agent provocateurs,

have been sowing discord in the state with the aim of tarnishing the reputations of government officials to divert attention from crucial issues to serve their own selfish political agenda.

He said: “The attention of the State Government has been drawn to some orchestrated falsehoods, insinuations, and negative write-ups, particularly in the print and social media, with a view to causing disharmony and disaffection within the polity.

“These tactics of faceless writers and agent provocateurs are intended to fan the embers of discord, tarnish the hard-earned reputations of individuals in government circles,

and distract government attention in order to take political advantage in any manner to please their own selfish political whims and caprices.”
