Olu Of Ilaro Asks Ogun West To Reject Amosun Backed Governorship Candidate

The paramount ruler of Yewaland, Oba Kehinde Olugbenle has cautioned people in Ogun West, not to vote for a governorship candidate being supported by former governor Ibikunle Amosun.

According to the monarch, the 2023 governorship in Yewaland should be based on politics of development, and not on sentiment.

He warned them against casting their vote for a governorship candidate because he is from Yewaland during the Saturday poll.

Instead, people in the axis should cast their vote for governor Dapo a=Abiodun for the continued development of the state, he added.

The Olu of Ilaro made the call in his palace at Ilaro, while receiving the governor during his electioneering campaign stop over in the axis, over the weekend.

The monarch warned people in Ogun West, not to vote for a governorship candidate because he is an indigene, and who is being supported by former governor Omosun

According to the monarch, Amosun admnistration during his eight year tenure did not start or complete a project in Yewaland.

The Olu of Ilaro also said it would be foolhardy for the electorate in ogun west to reject governorship candidate of another party, except the apc which had produced the next president and all the elected national assembly members from Ogun West, during the February 25 polls.

He urged all the newly elected national assembly candidates from Ogun West to work together to reactivate the Iddo-Idogo rail line scrapped by the Buhari Military regime in 1994.
