Ogun Issues Employment Letters to 498 OGUNTEACH Interns to Fill Vacancies in Public Schools

Ogun State Government has issued employment letters to a fresh batch of 498 interns of Ogun State Teaching and Acquisition Channel (OGUNTEACH) to fill up vacancies in public schools.

266 of the letters were issued for Secondary Schools, 187 for Primary Schools, while 45 are for the Government Science and Technology Colleges.

Education, Science and Technology Commissioner, Prof. Abayomi Arigbabu, announced this while distributing employment letters to successful interns in Abeokuta.

He explained that the letters were issued in fulfilment of Governor Abiodun’s promise to recruit more teachers.

Those issued with the letters, according to Arigbabu, served diligently and meritoriously during the two years period of internship.

Arigbabu said the cut off point for new candidates to be recruited into OGUNTEACH would be pegged at 30, in strict consideration on the advertised subjects.

The state chairman of the Trade Union Congress (TUC), Comrade Akeem Lasisi; his Nigeria Union of Teachers Counterpart, Noah Sewakanu and that of the Academic Staff Union of Secondary School, Oluwaseun Agbesanwa applauded the state government on the issuance of the employment letters.

They appreciated the state government for issuing the letters without any form of partisanship.
