A 200-level student of the Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile Ife, Subair Enitan, in an attempt to break the Guinness world record in hand washing marathon, has ended up in a hospital.

Enitan had earlier on Monday ended the marathon after she reached 58 hours, exceeding her initial plan of 50 hours.

A video trending on social media later on Monday, shows that her hands have become white and wrinkled from the handwashing marathon.

She was spotted lying down on what appeared to be a hospital bed.

However, Enitan has not yet been recognized by Guinness World Records as a new record breaker.

A congratulatory message from the Faculty of Arts Students Association (FASA), OAU, urged students to come out en mass to celebrate her.
