Ogun State first class monarch, Oba Adedapo Tejuosho, The Oshile Oke Ona Egba has warned his top chiefs against tampering with his body if he passes away.

He warns that any members of the Oke Ona Egba who perform any diabolic act on his remains would acknowledge God as the master.

The top monarch who is deeply in Christianity, issued the warning in an interview with the BBC Yoruba, while speaking on how he wants to his burial rite to be done.

Oba Tejuosho said it has been criminalized in Ogun State that whoever takes the body of a monarch to perform all sort of things would be arrested and jailed.

Governor Dapo Abiodun last year assented to a bill passed by the state house of assembly criminalizing the cannibalization of the remains of a dead monarch.

The Oshile of Oke Ona Egba explained that now, if traditional council wants to crown a monarch, it must be done according to his belief or religion.

Also, to bury a dead monarch, the burial rite must be done according to his belief and how his family wants it to be done.
