Nigerian attacker, Victor Boniface, has set a new record in Bayer 04 Leverkusen’s 3-0 win over Borussia Monchengladbach in their Bundesliga fixture on Saturday.

He joined the German club for 20million pounds this summer after an outstanding season in Belgium last campaign, where he notched 22 goals and 11 assists in all competitions.

His performances over the two-legged fixtures drew praise from Xabi Alonso, who urged Leverkusen to go all out for his signature this summer.

However, Boniface did not only score his first brace in the Bundesliga, but caused insurmountable problems for glad Bach’s defense.

He fired eleven shots on goal at his opponent’s box, more than any Leverkusen player has ever done before, according to German outlet kicker..

Boniface netted in both halves of the game to hand Leverkusen a 3-0 victory over Monchengladbach at the Borussia Park last Saturday.
