Kidnappers Strike in Abeokuta, Abduct Secondary School Teacher at Alabata, Near FUNAAB

Suspected herders have abducted a secondary school teacher at Alabata axis of Abeokuta, the Ogun state capital.

The victim, Adebanjo Adelowo, is a senior teacher at Alabata Community High School, Alabata.

He was abducted on Tuesday afternoon after closing from the school around 3.30 P.M. and took some members of staff of the school in his car.

He was abducted after dropping the member of staff at Kila.

A source said he was abducted on his farm in the area by seven persons on motorcycles, one of them wearing a mask.

The state chairman of the Trade Union Congress, Akeem Lasisi, confirmed the incident.

According to him, teachers at Alabata Community High School confirmed this to him.

Meanwhile, the kidnappers have started contacting relatives and friends of the abducted teachers.

The kidnappers were said to be making the contacts through 090-5440-9502 and 080-350-50-946.
