Talks between Federal Government and Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) on the palliative on petrol subsidy removal, ended in a deadlock on Monday night, in Abuja.

But both of them said the talks was fruitful, and agreed to continue further discussions on the demands of the workers.

Ahead of the Monday’s meeting, the NLC had organized a two day warning strike which took place between September, 5 and 6, four days after issuing a 21 day deadline to federal government.

Labour Minister, Simon Lalong, who led a Federal Government team to Monday’s talks, said most of the items on the NLC’s list of demands, are still under consideration before a final agreement.
