Former Governor Samuel Ortom has hinted that the defunct PDP G-five governors will support President Tinubu for a second term in office.

The G-five governors are Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo, Former Governor Samuel Ortom (Benue), Nyesom Wike (Rivers), Okezie Ikpeazu (Abia), and Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State.

Ortom disclosed this on Sunday in Port Harcourt at a luncheon hosted by Federal Capital Minister, Nyesom Wike.

The former governor told the audience that the leader of the G-five governor’s forum, Nyesom Wike, had already declared that they would support Tinubu during the 2027 polls.

He said that the forum did not regret backing Tinubu during the 2023 poll while being optimistic that the Tinubu administration would fix the challenges facing the country.

Addressing the gathering at Lucheon, Ortom declared that the PDP G5 will again back the ex-Lagos governor for a second term in office as Nigeria’s President.

Ortom said, If we work to ensure Bola Ahmed succeeds, there will be tomorrow for anybody to even contest the election at all.

Our leader, Nyesom Wike, has already made a declaration that in 2027, we are supporting President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

We have nowhere to go because that is what Nigerians believe. Even the past administration that took Nigeria from top to bottom, we allowed them to work for eight years.

So, why can’t a seasoned administrator in the person of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu rule us for eight years? he asked.
