Bello Vows to Deal with Cabinet Members Who Betray Him during Kogi Governorship Poll

Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi state has accused some members of his cabinet of betraying him, before and during the last November Kogi State Governorship Poll.

Bello vowed that they will never go unpunished.

The Governor said some of his cabinet members and political allies, sold him out, and worked for his political opponents, despite what he had done for them.

Bello, who was visibly angry, expressed his anger, while addressing the All Progressive Congress (APC) stakeholders at a close-door meeting in Lokoja.

The Governor said before and during the poll, he was fighting known enemies, while enemies within were pulling him down.

According to him, some of the APC leaders, who he called disgruntled elements, were working with the opposition candidates, against the party’s candidate, Usman Ododo, who eventually won the poll.

He warned the APC leaders against threatening their subordinates, warning he would dealt severely with them.

The Governor pointed a direct finger at a Senator from the state whom he said was “wrecked” by his brothers before he (Governor Bello) revived him from his alleged financial bankruptcy.

Today, you are a second-term serving senator. You were laughing with us while you went behind to text opposition messages to hinder our party from having 25 per cent in some local governments,he added.
