Bankole Advocates Modified Consensus Primaries

A presidential aspirant, Honorable Dimeji Bankole has suggested a modified consensus primaries to the APC to pick its candidate for the 2023 presidential poll.

Bankole, a former house of representative speaker, says that modified consensus mode of presidential primaries is less costly and would enable party leadership to engage with interest groups.

Bankole speaking to newsmen in Abuja, however asks the APC national working committee to address the fears of aspirants who opted for a direct primaries and opposed to consensus mode.

According to him, opposition to the consensus mode may be out of fear that it may lead to an imposition of candidates.
