Tinubu Asks Nigerians to Hold Governors Accountable For Palliatives Received

President Tinubu has pleaded with the State Governors, to ensure transparency and accountability in the distribution and management of the Federal Government’s palliatives, allocated to reduce the pains of petrol subsidy removal.

He promised to continue talking to the governors, but asks Nigerians who reside in the states, to hold the governors accountable in the management of the items.

Tinubu spoke on the issue on Thursday, while receiving a delegation of Islamic leaders deployed by the ECOWAS to Niger republic, to further explore dialogue with the Junta.

The President explained that since the potential beneficiaries are residing in Nigeria’s 36 states, he would have to reach them with the palliatives, through their respective state governments and local governments.
