Nigeria legend Sunday Oliseh and Ghana’s hero Asamoah Gyan were impressed with Victor Osimhen’s display in the Super Eagles’ 2-0 triumph over Cameroon in their last-16 clash at the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).

For 1994 AFCON-winning star Oliseh, those qualities, as well as Osimhen’s passion and leadership, set the Napoli striker apart as the super eagles main man.

Oliseh said he was extremely impressed not only by his offensive runs, defensive work but even on corners kicks against, tormenting of the Cameroonian defense.

He also praised Osimihen’s leadership and hunger to win.

Ghana’s all-time highest goal scorer, Gyan, was also pleased with Osimhen’s showing.

Citing Osimhen’s passion on the pitch, Gyan, whose Ghana team failed to make it past the group stage, hinted that any country would be proud to have the Nigerian striker in their squad.

Former Nigeria head coach, Sunday Oliseh has hailed Super Eagles striker, Victor Osimhen after his impressive display in Nigeria’s 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON, Round of 16 win over Cameroon on Saturday.

Oliseh said he was extremely impressed with the Napoli star for his offensive runs and defensive work against Cameroon during the encounter.

Osimhen gave an assist during the clash against Cameroon as two goals from Ademola Lookman ensured Jose Peseiro’s side defeated the Indomitable Lions.

The win over Cameroon means Nigeria will now take on Angola in the AFCON quarter-final on Friday.
