Putin Confirms Russian Pilots Killed In Wagner Mutiny

Russia President Vladimir Putin has accused the leaders of last weekend’s Wagner mutiny of wanting “to see Russia choked in bloody strife”.

Putin in his first tv address on Monday evening following yevgeny prigozhin’s rebellion on Saturday,  vowed to bring the organisers of the revolt “to justice”.

The Russian president, however, said Wagner troops would be allowed to join the army, go to Belarus or return home.

Putin also confirmed Russian army pilots were killed in clashes with Wagner troops during the rebellion.

Also speaking on Monday, Prigozhin said his short-lived rebellion was a response to government plans to take direct control of wagner.

He agreed to leave Russia for Belarus after calling off his troops – his current whereabouts are unknown.

Meanwhile, President Volodymyr Zelensky says the Ukrainian counter-offensive against Russian forces has made advances on all fronts.

He gave no details, but pro-Russian commentators say Ukrainian troops have crossed the dnipro river and retaken a village near kherson.
