Police Arrest Herbalists, Prophets for Allegedly Killing Woman for Money Making Ritual in Ogun

Police detectives in Ogun state, have rounded up a gang of ritualists (Herbalists and Prophets), who slaughtered a 35-year-old woman, Adijat Sulaimon, and dismembered her for money making ritual.

The seven suspects include two herbalists, Moses Abidemi, and Oluwo Samuel Monday, as well as two priests of the Cherubim and Seraphim Church, Prophet Peter Oluwalolese and Jamiu Yusuf.

Others in custody were Akinwunmi Ifatosin, Sheriff Agbai, and Osojieahen Alioneitouria, while others are on the run.

They allegedly dismembered the woman after killing her and burnt some of the body parts in a bid to produce money making soap.

The woman was lured to Sunshine Hotel at Atan Ota, last January 8, by her lover, Adebayo Azeez, but she could not be traced since then, as her phone was switched off.

The state police commissioner, Abiodun Alamutu, parading the suspects at the state police command headquarters on Thursday, said the woman was reported missing to the Onipanu police divisional headquarters on January 9, 2024.

From the hotel where she was invited, the woman was later taken to a shrine at Igbo Olomu in Atan Ota, where she was allegedly slaughtered by Abidemi Moses and others now on the run.

The body was dismembered and the body parts were allegedly taken to the home of Abidemi Moses, where they linked up with Oluwo Monday and Prophet Peter Oluwalolese.

The police chief said that Monday collected the woman’s head, two breasts, private part, two wrists, and other parts, and burnt them in a pot until the next day in Abidemi Moses’ home

Later, Prophet Oluwalolese slaughtered a ram to appease the spirit of the woman in the process of performing the ritual, while some of the body parts were allegedly given to the prophet and prophet named Jamiu Yusuf.

The money making ritual, according to the police commissioner, was initiated by Osojieahen Alioneitouria and Sheriff Agbai, both residents of Edo state, who contacted Samuel Monday for the preparation of money making ritual, for the production of N200 million within seven days.

Samuel Monday later contacted Prophet Oluwalolese, who linked up with Prophet Jamiu Yusuf and Abidemi Moses, and they charged N600,000 to perform the money making ritual.

Prophet Oluwalese was assigned the task of sourcing a female between the ages of 18 and 20 years for the ritual.

Eventually, Adebayo Azeez who is an apprentice to Abidemi Moses, now on the run, allegedly lured the woman to the hotel, from where she was taken to the shrine.

The police commissioner worried over the incident has advised youths not to believe in using human beings to make money rituals.
