NIS Picks Up 30 Illegal Migrants Defrauding Others in Abeokuta
Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) has arrested 30 illegal migrants in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital.
The comptroller of the state command, Abosede Oluyemisi, announced this while parading the illegal aliens at the command headquarters in Abeokuta.
She said the arrested illegal aliens who were nationals of Benin Republic and Congo, were picked up at their office in Abeokuta.
The comptroller said they were arrested for defrauding other illegal migrants with the promise of sourcing jobs for them in Nigeria.

According to the comptroller, the arrested illegal migrants after extorting other migrants with fake jobs, threw them into the streets.
“They are 30 in number and we apprehended them at their office where they gathered and doing illicit business, they are defrauding fellow foreign nationals by bringing them in and collecting money from them. They promised them employment in Nigeria.
“After taking money from them, they threw them to the street. The next thing is to repatriate them back to their home countries,” she said.
