NFF Lists Players for the International Friendly Games

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) have released a squad of 25 players for the international friendly games against Saudi Arabia and Mozambique later this month.

The invited players, included Francis Uzoho; Olorunleke Ojo and Adebayo Adeleye as goalkeepers.

Defenders are Olaoluwa Aina, Bright Osayi-Samuel; Jordan Torunarigha, Kenneth Omeruo, Oluwasemilogo Ajayi, Calvin Bassey, Jamilu Collins and Bruno Onyemaechi.

The midfielders are Wilfred Ndidi, Raphael Onyedika, Joe Ayodele-Aribo, Frank Onyekaalex Iwobi and Fisayo Dele-Bashiru.

Also, invited forwards, include Kelechi Iheanacho, Samuel Chukwueze; Moses Simon, Ademola Lookman, Victor Osimhen, Taiwo Awoniyi, Terem Moffi and Victor Boniface.

According to the NFF, the camp will open on the October 10, in Portugal.

Both encounters have been arranged as tune-up games for the Eagles ahead of the commencement of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying matches, in which the three-time African champions host Lesotho’s Crocodiles in Uyo on 17th November before travelling away to play Zimbabwe four days later.

Meanwhile, a top official of the NFF said that despite the concern in some quarters, Nigeria has not lost the immensely talented striker to Togo.

He said it was the technical adviser of the team, Jose Peseiro, who decided not to invite the Gent star player.

He called on Nigerian fans to exercise patience on Orban, who is also eager to play for the Super Eagles.

The game against Saudi Arabia will take place on October 13, before playing Mozambique three days later.
