It comes amid concern that the blood-sucking insects could come into Algeria due to the high number of people who travel from France.

However, the ministry, said no bedbug’s infestation had been reported in the country while urging vigilance.

On Tuesday, French Health Minister Aurelien Rousseau urged the public not to panic about the spread of bedbugs.

Furthermore, the French government early this week vowed to take action to “reassure and protect” the public against the bedbug infestation.

In addition to these measures, dozens of shocking videos were published on different social media platforms, illustrating the spread of bedbugs in buses, trains, airports, and other public places in Paris.

Moreover, the bedbug infestation comes as Paris is preparing to host the 2024 Olympic Games.
