Airforce Puts Up Presidential Jet for Sale, Calls for Bidders

Nigeria Airforce has put up for sale one of the aircraft in its presidential fleet.

Airforce in a post on X (formally Twitter) on Tuesday said it has received presidential approval to sell a Falcon 900b in the fleet.

It asks interested buyers to submit bids physically at the procurement directorate at the Airforce headquarters in Abuja, no later than December 24, 2023.

The Air Force says all the bids for the aircraft should be quoted in dollars.

Aircraft in the presidential fleet, include Boeing Business Jet (Boeing 737-800 or NAF 001), one Gulfstream 550, and one Gulfstream V (Gulfstream 500).

Others are two Falcons 7x, one hawker Sidley 4000, two AgustaWestland AW 139 helicopters, and two AgustaWestland AW 101 helicopters.

In compliance with provisions of the Public Procurement Act 2007, the NAF hereby invites all interested parties to submit bids for aircraft purchase. The bids can be submitted by email or physically.

If submitted by email, the bids are to be password protected and sent to dproc@airforce.mil.ng while the password is to be sent separately to d proc2@ airforce.miI.ng.

For physical submission, the quotations are to be enclosed in an envelope and sealed while the envelope is to bear the name and address of the interested company/entity as well as the description and reference to the request.

It should also bear the statement, DO NOT OPEN BEFORE 24 DECEMBER 2023.

Please note that the bids will be processed immediately after the expiration of the deadline for submission.
