Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun state has approved the appointment of six Special Advisers to assist him before constituting his cabinet.

The Special Advisers who served in his cabinet during his first term in office, include former finance commissioner, Oladapo Okubadejo who was appointed as the Chief Economic Adviser to the Governor.

Others, according to a statement issued by the secretary to the state governor, Tokunbo Talabi, are, Mr. Olaolu Olabimtan, as special adviser for budget and planning; and Jagunmolu Jamiu  Omoniyi as the special adviser, housing.

Also appointed are Engineer Adebowale Akinsanya, as Special Adviser, Works & Infrastructure; Mr. Olusina Ogungbade, Special Adviser, Justice and Dr. Tomi Coker, Special Adviser, Health.

The new appointments is the second to be made by the governor to kick start his second term in office.

He had earlier re-appointed the secretary to the State Government (SSG), Mr. Tokunbo Talabi and Dr. Oluwatoyin Taiwo as the Deputy Chief of Staff (DCOS).

According to Mr. Talabi, the appointments take immediate effect.

The statement recalled that the ninth House of Assembly in the state had earlier approved the request of the governor to appoint 20 special advisers.

It stated that the appointments would allow the special advisers to maintain the momentum of his administration pending the appointment of commissioners to various Ministries.
