The PDP national chairman, Doctor Iyorchia Ayu, has dismissed reports that he has resigned.
His media aide, Simon Imobo-Tswan in a tweet said that Iyorchia Ayu has no plan to resign in the foreseeable future.
The call for his resignation has been demanded by the camp of Governor Nyesom Wike as one of the conditions to work with the PDP presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar in the 2023 poll.

Wike who felt slighted has since been hosting politicians from the rival political parties, thereby causing tension in the PDP ahead of the 2023 polls.
