Two Teenagers Convicted for Stabbing Boy in Abeokuta

A magistrate court sitting in Abeokuta has sentenced two teenagers to 24 months each in the juvenile correctional home in the Ogun state capital.

They were convicted for stabbing a boy in the city.

The prosecutor, Olakunle Sonibare, told the court that the boys stabbed the boy last April 19 at railway axis of Lafenwa.

According to the prosecutor, the two boys stabbed the boy with broken bottle while attempting to extort money from him.

The magistrate, Olajumoke Somefun, in her judgement said the prosecution had proved its case beyond reasonable doubt.

She ordered the teenagers to be kept for 24 months in the Borstal Home Correctional Centre without an option of fine.
