Two Friends Allegedly Gang Rape Woman In Abeokuta

Police have arrested two persons for the alleged gang rape of a 22 year old woman in Abeokuta, the Ogun state capital.

The suspects include 28 year old Sarumi Sodiq and 38 year old Seun Orokunle whom the woman claimed is her lover.

The suspects, according to the police sexually assaulted the woman at Eleweran in the city.

The woman told the police that she had gone to visit her lover, Orokunle in his house at Eleweran, and decided to take a shower in the bathroom.

She claimed that unknowing to her, her lover had invited his friend, Sodiq, who entered the room and dragged her out of the bathroom.

According to her, both of them took their turn in sexually assaulting her, after subjecting her to severe beating.

She alleged that both of them threatened to kill her and dipped her clothes into a bucketful of water.

The state police commissioner, Lanre Bankole had directed that the case be transferred to the state criminal investigations and intelligence department.
