Tinubu Urges Governors-Elect To Initial Process Of Healing After March 18 Polls

President elect Bola Tinubu has asked new state governors and legislators elect to initiate the process of healing, after their victory in the February 25 and march 18 polls.

He expressed concern over the violence and ethnic slur trailing the polls.

Tinubu urged governors and legislators elect, to embrace their defeated opponents and their supporters, in order to achieve a united Nigeria.

The president elect in a statement issued on Tuesday, said in a democracy, the majority would have their way, but the minority must have their say.

According to Tinubu, winners in the polls must be magnanimous, while those who were defeated must have a large heart for tolerance and respect for the greater interest of the nation.

He pleaded with newly elected candidates to take urgent steps to unite the people who vote for and against them during the polls.
