Three Persons Arraigned In Abeokuta Court For Document Forgery

Three persons have been arraigned before a federal high court, sitting in Abeokuta, for allegedly forging vital documents of the nigerian custom service.

The accused persons arraigned by the federal operation unit, Ikeja were Ismail Koko, Jimoh Yakubu and Abdullahi Muazu.

The prosecuting counsel, customs assistant legal adviser, barriste Vivian Aigbadon, told the court that Ismail Koko and Jimoh Yakubu forged customs’ exit note forms, to evade the payment of necessary duty payment.

They allegedly committed the offence between last January and February on Owode Yewa-Idiroko border road.

The third accused,Abdullahi Muazu,was charged for illegally importation of Toyota Rav four utility vehicle and contrabands, including rice.

Justice Demi Ajayi orderd the accused persons to be remaned in a custodial centre till Tuesday, next week.
