Three Killed, Two Others Injured In Crash in Abeokuta

Three persons have died in a collision of a car with a truck in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital.

Two others were injured in the accident which occurred in the early hours of Sunday at Obada Oko axis of the Abeokuta-Sango Ota expressway.

The state sector commander of Federal Road Safety Corps, Ahmed Umar, said the truck was marked Ogun AKM 48G, while the car is unmarked.

The FRSC commander said the accident was caused by route violation by the truck driver, resulting in a head on collision with the car.

The bodies of those who died in the crash and injured had been taken to the State hospital, Ijaye, Abeokuta.
