Tai Solarin College Of Education Renamed After Awujale Of Ijebuland
Governor Dapo Abiodun has renamed Tai Solarin College of Education, Omu Ijebu as Sikiru Adetona College of Education, Science and Technology.
The governor who formally unveiled the college, at a ceremony on the college campus, said despite change in its name, it would remain a college of education for the training of middle level teachers.
Abiodun, however, said the college would continue to run its affiliated degree programmes and accommodate science and technology courses.

He urges indigents of Ijebu land to contribute massively to the development of the college, in creating a legacy for the Awujale of Ijebuland, Oba Sikiru Adetona.
He also promised to assist in providing more infrastructure in the college, while assuring that the road leading from Ala, passing through Omu Ijebu, would soon be commissioned.
The Awujale commended the governor for renaming the college after him, assuring him that his re-election in the 2023 polls was a done deal.
