Suspected Yahoo Boy Allegedly Kills His Lover In Ogun

A 27 year old suspected internet fraudster (Yahoo Boy), Obeta John, has allegedly killed his lover at Shara in the Remo parts of Ogun State.

Obeta allegedly killed an HND one mass communication student of the Gateway Polytechnic, Sapade, Idowu Buhari, on Tuesday, during a scuffle in his apartment at 3, Mojubade compound, Erelu in Ishara. He locked the girl in his room, beat and hit her head against the wall.

During the scuffle, the suspect refused plea by neighbours to open the door of his apartment, and the Ode Remo Police Divisional headquarters was alerted of the fighting.

Police later forced the door open, met the girl in a pool of blood, and rushed her to the state hospital, Ishara, where she was pronounced dead.

Spokesman of the state police command, Abimbola Oyeyemi, said the suspect during interrogation, told the police that he was an internet fraudster, and that one of his clients sent money into the bank’s account of the girl.

The suspect, according to Oyeyemi, told the police the girl refused to transfer the money to him, resulting into a scuffle, leading to her death.
