Suspected Kidnappers Held in Ogun

Two suspected kidnappers in Imeko Afon axis of Ogun state are now in police net.

The suspects, Umar Usman and Muhammad Ibrahim were arrested last march 19 after their victim, Sulaiman Mohammed, reported them to the Imeko Afon divisional police headquarters.

The suspected kidnappers using a phone with hidden numbers had allegedly called Mohammed, threatening to kidnap him within a week.

They demanded a 5 million naira ransom, advising him to sell his cattle to raise the fund within the one week deadline.

Spokesman of the state police command, deputy Superintendent Abimbola Oyeyemi said following the report of the threat to the Imeko Afon police station, detectives started tracking the suspects.

According to him, the suspects were tracked to their hideouts in Iwoye and Kofa forests where they were arrested.
